Of course, I had to switch mine up a bit and I was shocked by the results. Instead of the Gold (which the Hubs says he is so over btw... really?!?) I used the Oil Rubbed Bronze Metallic Paint by Rustoleum.

This was my inspiration for the pattern... (which if anyone is looking for a Christmas or 30th Birthday idea... ahem... who needs jewelry, right?)

Sorry for the iPhone shot... it was late & I was too lazy to set up a "shot".
Here is another bad shot... I'd love to show you the room view but as you can tell from the presents there is a whole lot of Christmas going on in here for The Home Depot Holiday Style Challenge.
More pics to come... Sorry to be such a tease.
And don't forget to enter the amazing Stella & Dot Giveaway from Stylist Kristen Fine. The giveaway closes at Midnight tonight!

It looks so good!! Way to go girl!
ReplyDeleteSo good! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteKristin,
ReplyDeleteAwesome tutorial! I was wondering if you think this 'rug' is better as a decorative rug (i.e. under a table or as an overlay over another area rug vs. in a walkway) because of its material? Or is it a non-issue once its painted?
Thanks so much.
I'm a new follower of your blog, and absolutely love it. Already tried one of your tutorials this weekend after following you for a week!
I love this project! XO Kristin
ReplyDeleteThis is THE coolest project, and I want to make one now!
