Yes, I am an Interior Designer. Yes, I have expensive taste. But am I personally able to afford high end design...NO!!!! Like the majority of you reading this, I love high end design but need it on a low end budget. My philosophy with The Hunted Interior is to "hunt" your home before buying new. Relocating a mirror, recovering a chair, painting a dresser are just a few easy things that can be done to give life to an existing piece. Join me on the HUNT for great style!

Well done to you! I love that you still use your talent and share the hope of living with less but making it seem like a lot. Also, my favourite thing is that you decided to stay home with your daughter, our Mother did that and she enriched our lives unbelievably! Your style is crisp and really delightful.
ReplyDeleteWow! I just found your blog today and started following. I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future and also I want to go back and see the posts that I have missed.
ReplyDeleteKristin- I am so inspired by you. I had my sweet Henry last October and decided to stay home with him. These last several months have been the best of my life but also the most challenging in many ways. I was a retail buyer for Walmart and then Dillard's department stores before staying home and would love to use my learnings to do something new that still allows me to be home with Henry. Thank you for the inspiration. I LOVE your blog and am now following on Facebook and Pinterest! Keep the creative juices flowwing... I'm counting on you to turn my home into a masterpiece! :)
ReplyDeleteI just found you via the Mustard Ceiling, and am so glad I did. I am a design-loving mother to two, former teacher, turned stay-at-home mom. Your budget friendly ethos is right up my alley. I'm looking forward to following along.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,

Kristin...I'm so glad I got to meet you at Haven! I still can't get over the fact that we're almost neighbors! Your blog is now one of my top favorite home decor blogs. I seriously adore your style! In fact, I'm so thankful for your tutorial on the chevron navy painted curtains. I was looking for some material to make some for my guest room but now I'll just DIY them! Thank you so much! If you ever want to meet up for coffee or just have some company on a fabric/home decor shopping run, let me know! :-) <3 Heidi Rew from Parties for Pennies
